Continuing to develop variations amp

11.31
Continuing to develop variations & ideas on D-Light and an emerging whole-tone configuration.

From an e-letter to Andrew Keeling

Well done!

The quick answer is, there was no deliberate rational choice of key centres using the Axis to determine the running order for the LTIA album. The longer answer is, consult the body & the ears, and discover what senses & feels right. This is how Crimson conventionally works in the studio, albeit with the conflicting views of any committee, and the dynamics of the interacting individuals.

I don't trust my mind very much: it's too slow. My hunches are my better: I trust where my feet lead, and watch where they carry me. If my mind leads the show, the results/writing can tend to predictability. In that case, it's a question of unfixing what I think is going on (not difficult, in Crimson!).

My hunch agrees with your hunch on this.

Adrian is hanging low with Devil Bug, so no inter-locking & offsetting guitars of terror today.

Sid Smith has sent the first four chapters of his tome, which I have returned to him with several factual corrections. Sid contact to all the Team has provided a fund of information. I have learned a great deal regarding the personalities involved.
